I needed a circuit that could split 12-18 volt and create a virtual ground for my CMoy headphone, I was not happy with my passive virtual ground with capacitors and resistors due to 20% difference between + and – side.

When looking through my op amps I found that I had bought a lot of LM358 some time ago and since it’s a rail to rail it should be perfect. It worked perfectly to drive the CMoy Headphone amp and I could remove the bulky capacitors that I been using at first (lower form factor). The circuit is stable and is always half of the provided voltage. It costs less than 1/4 of the price of a virtual ground rail splitter like Texas Instruments TLE2426CLPR, although a TLE2426 is much smaller in size (smallest is the size of a ordinary transistor).
